Shanghai, Nov. 8, 2018 – China Aviation Supplies Co., LTD (CASC, i.e. the Aviation Supplies Pooling Platform) signed a MOU with Boeing on aircraft parts purchasing cooperation during the 1st China International Import Expo in Shanghai, announcing the cooperation of Boeing QEC products, especially the 737MAX QEC products. Tan Kejian, the vice president of CAS and president of CASC, and Anbessie Yitbarek, the vice president of Commercial Services Sales & Marketing at Boeing, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Based on the past cooperation, this MOU will provide a strategic support on the future high-value aircraft parts bulk purchases and supply support localization. This action fully shows how Boeing, as a leading manufacturer in the industry, responses to and supports the construction of the aviation supplies pooling platform in China.
In recent years, CASC and Boeing have conducted effective cooperation in high-value aviation assets such as B777 Undercarriage pooling and B737NG QEC projects. Taking QEC for example, CASC has been working on this bulk purchase project with Boeing since 2015, and has already purchased 20 QECs to meet the demand of the domestic airlines to replace aircraft engines.
